The Governor's Role in the Exclusion Process

How to hear an exclusion and the law relating to this. This will include:

  • Understanding when Governors become involved in the Exclusions process
  • Supporting the academy in upholding discipline and hold the academy to account for acting lawfully, reasonably, rationally, proportionately and fairly
  • Knowing what behaviours can lead to an exclusion
  • Understanding the appeals process and the role of the Independent Review Panel
